Welcome – how to get settled in
Hello and welcome to Fridasminde 🌿 Here's a short guide so you can find your way around quickly.
Parking
On arrival you're welcome to park either in the courtyard or by the gable end of the barn.
The camping area
You'll find the camping area by walking right around the barn and on into the backyard.
You're free to choose wherever you'd like to pitch your tent.
Terraces, power, grill and campfire
There are two terraces in the garden. One is covered, and there you'll find electricity, free firewood and a gas grill you're welcome to use.
By the rear terrace, down in the corner of the garden, you can light a campfire. Please put out fire and grill after use.
Toilet, shower and drinking water
In the backyard you'll find a composting toilet and a cold rainwater shower.
Important: There is no drinking water in the backyard. Drinking water can be filled at the front door of the main house.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is by 12:00 noon at the latest.
If we're home when you arrive, we'll gladly give you a little tour. If you arrive before us, we'll contact you later to make sure you found everything.
Our few house rules
- 1.Sort your waste and put it in the containers down by the road (food waste in the green bag provided).
- 2.Please follow the toilet instructions posted on the door.
- 3.You're welcome to use the fire pit and grill – just make sure to put them out afterwards.
- 4.Be considerate of other guests and avoid unnecessary noise after 11:00 PM.
- 5.Please tidy up after your stay.
- 6.Respect the animals and plants on the property.
A tip for your stay
From 1 May until the last Saturday of the Danish autumn holiday, the Night Watchman of Ribe walks his traditional round through the old streets. The tour starts at 8:00 PM on the market square by Restaurant Weis Stue. From 24 June to 15 August there is an extra tour at 10:00 PM. The walk takes about 45 minutes and is free.
